FAOS Musical Theatre Group (formerly Farnham Amateur Operatic Society) has been performing in Farnham, Surrey, since 1928. Our aims are to be a friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic society, and to perform musical theatre and opera to the highest standard that we can achieve. We put on two shows a year, in January and June. You will find our next production detailed on the Home page; our past productions are listed on the Productions page, where you can also view pictures from the shows.
If you would like to watch one of our shows please visit the Tickets page for details of prices and how to book.
FAOS Musical Theatre Group is always looking for new members. We welcome anyone who would enjoy contributing in any way to our musical productions. This could be through performing on stage, assisting with technical activities (lighting, make-up, scenery construction, scenery painting), working backstage during performances, or helping as a Front of House steward. Or, of course, doing several of these activities!
Why not come and join our rehearsals? Our rehearsals for members of the Chorus are on Mondays at the Methodist Church Hall, South Street, Farnham. Rehearsals for principal performers are on Wednesdays at the United Reformed Church, South Street, Farnham. We begin at 7:30pm, have a short break for tea/coffee and biscuits, and generally finish at 10:00pm. Then we usually adjourn to the local pub for a well-earned pint (or whatever your tipple is) and a chat.
Please feel free to drop in at a rehearsal. You don't have to join in, you could just watch and listen, and discover whether you like what you see and hear. Or you can get in touch with us using the Contact Us page. Whichever way you do it, we look forward to welcoming you to the society.
If you are not currently a member and would like to perform in the next show please contact the Secretary for more information.
